Obama decries rising racial rhetoric

MSNBC.com

On Saturday in Plainfield, Indiana Barack Obama discussed the issues of racism. He talked the about how this whole competition with Hilary Clinton the fact of racism had been brought up. Obama’s mother was from Kansas and his father was from Kenya and he Obama says “as someone who has little pieces of America all in me." He says that the schools should be better in teaching about African American history, and about other cultures. He went around and spoke with many high schools and talked to them about the issue also.

I think he makes a good point about teaching all kids more about other things like the African American history. I truly thank that most kids in America are brought up seeing that white people are American. People don’t like to admit to the fact of it, or don’t like to sound like there a little bit racist. I think that it’s a really good thing that Obama is going around and talking to kids about the issue of racism.
